Question 1

Are your tuk tuks road legal in the UK?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every tuk tuk we supply is fully UK road legal, registered with the DVLA and supplied taxed and MOT'd where applicable. They arrive with a V5C and a registration plate, ready to drive on public roads.

Question 2

What licence do I need to drive one?

Accepted Answer

A standard UK category B car driving licence is all you need. No specialist training or additional entitlement is required for private use.

Question 3

How fast will it go?

Accepted Answer

Our tuk tuks reach a top speed of around 42 mph, which makes them ideal for town, city and event use rather than motorway driving.

Question 4

Can I insure a tuk tuk?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tuk tuks are insured much like any other light vehicle, and we can point you towards brokers who regularly cover them for private, commercial and event use.

Question 5

Is insurance included when I rent?

Accepted Answer

Rental vehicles are supplied fully insured for the agreed hire period and named drivers. We confirm the exact terms in writing before your booking is finalised.

Question 6

What are the dimensions?

Accepted Answer

A typical tuk tuk is roughly 2.6 m long, 1.4 m wide and 1.7 m tall, so it fits comfortably in a standard parking space and through most yard and courtyard access.

Question 7

How many people can it carry?

Accepted Answer

The passenger models seat the driver plus three passengers on the rear bench. The Treo Zor is a load carrier designed for cargo rather than passengers.

Question 8

How far will an electric Treo go on a charge?

Accepted Answer

Around 130 km on a full charge in typical use, from its lithium-ion battery pack with regenerative braking.

Question 9

How do I charge it?

Accepted Answer

It charges from a standard domestic 13 amp socket using the supplied charger, so no special installation is needed. A full charge takes roughly three to four hours.

Question 10

Do you deliver?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we deliver nationwide across mainland UK. Delivery is quoted based on your postcode and arranged for a date that suits you.

Question 11

How long does it take to get my tuk tuk?

Accepted Answer

Stock vehicles can often be with you within a couple of weeks. Customised or branded builds take longer depending on the specification — we'll give you a firm timeline with your quote.
