FAQs
Are they UK Road Approved?
Yes, every TukTuk imported to the UK has to go through a strict safety and compliance test with VOSA called a Single Vehicle Approval after which they are issued with a Ministers Approval Certificate. This allows us then to get the car registered and licensed prior to sale.
What About Insurance?
These vehicles are often insured through specialist insurers who understand the vehicles. They’re not on the average broker’s computer system drop down menus! Don’t worry, TukTuk UK can recommend some great brokers to use who understand the vehicles. It’s difficult to give an insurance estimate as everybody has different risks, but ours costs about £300/year fully comp.
How Much Do They Cost?
The vehicles cost £4987 + VAT on the road.
How Many People Do They Seat?
These TukTuks have been approved for a driver and three passengers in the back. All the rear passengers have seat belts, but the driver is not required to have a seatbelt.
